Route Map

Here's a quick and dirty job to debunk some of the arguments found at http://www.whitstablegreenlung.co.uk/10.html
Yellow route shows current 'best' to harbour from the end of the path, Green shows new route and Purple shows 'their' suggested route.
Schools:
  1. St Mary's

Hazards:
  1. Dangerous corner: Ivy House Close -> Castle Road, blind and single file
  2. Cross road to get to foot bridge, or risk getting squashed on the hump back
  3. Cross road to get to Teynham Road, risk getting runover, as cars can't see over hump back
  4. Junction to Teynham Road
    • 4a: squeeze point round blind corner, pavement too narrow for bikes & peds, road just wide enough for 2 cars, high concrete walls.
  5. Junction into Station Road after blind corner in Teynham Road / Railway Avenue
  6. Bridge over railway has many steps, completely unsuitable for bikes
  7. Junction inso Millstream Close, used if taking alternative route
  8. Steps from past railway station, into dark (at night) enclosed alley way
  9. Cross traffic to enter Stream Walk
  10. Cross Cromwell Road, to continue on Stream Walk
  11. Cross Hamilton Road, to continue on Stream Walk

  13. Rejoin cronwell road, odd 3-way junction
  14. Leave Stream Walk, to join Stream Walk Road, crossing traffic
  15. Cross traffic to join Cromwell Road (proposed route)
  16. Junction to Harbour Street (optional, could use fountain street)
